You installed the pro plugin. Nothing happened, or half the features are missing. Almost always the same cause: the free version is not installed.
A lot of premium WordPress plugins are not standalone plugins at all. They are add-ons. The free plugin from WordPress.org does the work, and the premium one bolts extra features onto it. Install the premium half on its own and it has nothing to attach to.
How to tell
If the product name reads like “Something Pro,” “Something Premium,” or “Addons for Something,” there is probably a free Something underneath it.
Elementor Pro needs Elementor. Yoast SEO Premium needs Yoast SEO. CartFlows Pro needs CartFlows. The pattern runs through a large part of the catalog.
What to do
- Install and activate the free plugin first.
- Install and activate the premium plugin.
- Add what you need to the 99Plugs Update Manager so both keep updating.
Both files come with your purchase, so you can get them from My Downloads in your account dashboard on 99plugs.com. You can also install the free one straight from Plugins → Add New Plugin in WordPress, which is the same file either way.
Why this is how developers build them
It is a distribution decision, not a technical one. A free plugin on WordPress.org reaches millions of people. The premium add-on is what those people buy afterwards. Splitting the product in two is how the whole premium WordPress market works.
Which also means the free half is genuinely free, from WordPress.org, for everybody. Nothing about that half is ours or theirs to gate.
If both are installed and features are still missing
Two things worth checking.
Are both activated? Installed is not the same as active. Check your Plugins screen.
Is the missing feature one that runs on the developer’s server? Template libraries and demo content need an active license with the developer, so they are not available through us. See Known Limitations.
And if the plugin is asking you to activate a license, that is a separate thing and usually not a problem at all. See My plugin or theme is not activating.
