Most of what we sell works exactly like the developer’s own copy. A small number of products have one piece that does not, and it is always the same piece: something that lives on the developer’s server rather than in the plugin.
Templates. Demo content. Cloud services. Those need an active license with the developer, and a license with the developer is the one thing we cannot hand you. The plugin itself works.
This page is the running list.
What a limitation looks like
A plugin that pulls its template library down from the developer’s API shows you an empty library. A theme that imports demo sites from the developer’s server does not import them. An image CDN that runs on the developer’s infrastructure does not connect.
Everything else in that product behaves normally. You are not looking at a broken plugin. You are looking at one feature that phones home.
This is one of three things you give up compared to buying direct, along with the developer’s own support desk and 24 to 48 hours of update speed. We would rather you read it here than find out on a client site.

Found one that is not on the list?
Tell us. We do not install and run all 3,000+ products, so this list grows from what customers report.
When something turns up, we install that product on our test server and reproduce it. Sometimes there is a way around it and we build one. Sometimes there is not, and we add a notice to the product page so the next person knows before they buy.
Open a ticket. It takes a minute and it makes the list better for everybody.
What is not a limitation
An activation prompt is not a limitation. Most plugins nag for a license key and work perfectly without one. See My plugin or theme is not activating.
A missing update is not a limitation either. See Update failed, or the new version is not there yet.
