GeoDirectory Booster

GD Booster is an add-on for GeoDirectory that combines caching, compression and minifying methods for WordPress. Activate it and set each option by checking or unchecking it. No technical knowledge is required.

You choose where the cached version of your site is stored and how long it lasts, from 30 seconds to 1 year, with 7 days as the default. Separate options cover the client-side cache, GET requests, 404 requests and RSS, RDF and Atom feeds. GZIP compression works through .htaccess lines or a php.ini setting. You can list JS and CSS files to leave out of the combined files.

Developers can switch the cache off in PHP with GEODIR_GD_BOOSTER_ALLOWED, and it also respects DONOTCACHEPAGE. It can be extended with PHP files in /wp-content/ac-plugins/. Do not run it alongside other third-party caching plugins. It needs an advanced-cache.php file in wp-content, so it does not work on WordPress.com or hosts without write access to that folder.
