Modern Events Calendar – Waiting List

Waiting List is a Modern Events Calendar add-on that turns sold-out events into a waiting queue. It requires MEC Pro. When tickets run out, the booking form is replaced by a waiting list form. When a spot opens, the next person in line gets a time-limited offer link with a live countdown, and unclaimed seats roll over to the next person automatically.

A dedicated form builder can be set on any event, and you can apply a reservation limit and set verification and confirmation automatically. Seven ready-made emails cover verification, confirmation, offer allocation, reminder, expiry, allocation and cancellation, with smart placeholders. You manage waiting list attendees just like MEC bookings, and users can view and cancel their own requests from a front-end page.

The Queue Dashboard tracks queue depth, conversion rate, average wait time, and expiry and cancellation rates with KPI cards and interactive charts. An audit trail logs every state change and email with a snapshot of the original submission. Anti-spam protection includes a honeypot, IP and email rate limiting and duplicate detection. GDPR tools cover data export and erasure, automatic anonymization and configurable retention policies.
