SearchWP Term Highlight
Wraps search terms in a span in result titles and excerpts, so you can highlight them in CSS.
About This Plugin
SearchWP Term Highlight is an extension for SearchWP. When active, it wraps search terms in the title and excerpt of native WordPress search results with a span, so you can highlight them to match your site design. The span carries the class searchwp-highlight, which you can target in your CSS.
It replaces calls to the_excerpt() with an excerpt that contains at least one search term from the main content, and highlights the terms there too. A function also retrieves an excerpt from post content or from a custom field that contains a search term. Filters let you disable or customize the automatic behavior.
It does not highlight terms in supplemental search engine results automatically. For those you send content through the highlighter in your template. The extension is deprecated as of SearchWP 3.0.
