About This Plugin
myCred SMS Payments is a myCred add-on that lets users check their point balance or transfer points by SMS message. It does what the Transfer add-on does through a shortcode on your site, but with specially constructed text messages. You need a Twilio account with a verified phone number that supports messaging.
Options include transfer confirmation messages to the sender, transfer cancellations with a time window you set in seconds, and enforcing the transfer limit from the Transfer add-on. Recipients are identified by ID, login or email. You enter your Twilio account ID and phone number, and name the meta key that holds user phone numbers, either a WordPress meta key or a BuddyPress extra profile field. You also write the SMS replies, which are limited to 160 characters each and are charged by Twilio.
