WooCommerce Taxamo

Taxamo Integration connects your WooCommerce store to Taxamo, a service that calculates the EU VAT rate from the customer's location and the products in their cart. VATMOSS is the EU rule that charges VAT on digital goods by the customer's location instead of the store's.

When a customer checks out, WooCommerce sends the cart information to Taxamo. Taxamo returns the EU tax to charge on the digital goods. After the customer pays, Taxamo routes the collected taxes to the appropriate MOSS (mini-one-stop-shop) locations. Taxamo can capture up to six separate records of location data in one transaction, in real time, without interrupting the customer.

The extension uses the Taxamo API for tax calculation, evidence collection and payment registration. Taxamo reporting tools produce downloadable EU MOSS returns and audit files. It supports API v2, so check that your Taxamo account does too before you upgrade.
