Restrict Content Pro Restrict Past Content

This add-on for Restrict Content Pro restricts content published before a member's membership start date. It suits membership sites where customers should see only what goes up after they sign up.

You turn it on for each membership level under Restrict > Membership Levels. An Exception Period setting, entered in days, lets members see content published before their join date. Enter 7 to open up the week before they joined. A checkbox on the post or page edit screen excludes a single item from the restriction.

The add-on compares the date Restrict Content Pro stored at signup with the content's published date. Members who fail the check see the restriction message from your Restrict Content Pro settings. If a member holds more than one membership, the one that gives the most access wins.
