FacetWP – A-Z Listing

This add-on for FacetWP adds an A-Z Listing facet type. It shows the first letters available in the content of your chosen Data Source field. Click a letter to show results starting with it. Click the selected letter again, or the Any link, to reset.

By default the facet shows the capital letters A to Z of the standard Latin alphabet. Accents are stripped before indexing, so posts starting with n, N, ñ or Ñ all match when you click N. The # character stands for the numbers 0 to 9, and you can remove or replace it.

The facetwp_alpha_chars hook lets you add, delete or replace characters, or swap in a whole different alphabet. The facetwp_alpha_remove_accents hook turns off the accent stripping.
