Easy Digital Downloads Git Download Updater

Git Download Updater serves download files from GitHub or Bitbucket. Instead of downloading a zip, renaming the main folder, removing unneeded files and re-zipping, you select the repo and version tag. The extension updates the download file and sets the proper file names.

It fetches zip files directly from git tags or releases on GitHub and supports both private and public repositories. Update to a new version or roll back to a previous one by changing the version number and clicking fetch. If you use Software Licensing, it can also update the version number and changelog automatically by parsing readme.txt.
