About This Plugin
BuddyPress Private Message Rate Limiter caps how many private messages users can send on your BuddyPress social network. Its best use is to stop spammers from flooding your users' private messages.
You choose what the limit covers. Limit new messages only, which suits spam prevention, or limit new messages and replies both. Limiting new messages only lets regular users keep replying. You also set the length of time the limit applies for.
Developers can change the behavior with the bp_private_message_rate_limiter_can_send hook.
