About This Plugin

Readabler is an accessibility plugin for WordPress that makes content easier to read and use for people with vision impairments, cognitive impairments and hearing or motor needs. It is built on JavaScript and works in modern browsers on mobile, laptop and desktop. Five pre-installed profiles cover epilepsy, visual impairment, cognitive disability, and partial or complete blindness.

Readability settings scale the entire page or only some types of text, adjust line and letter spacing and text alignment, switch the site to a readable font or a dyslexia font, highlight texts and titles, and add a magnifier on hover. Visual settings control brightness, saturation and contrast, offer a black-white mode, and change font and background colors.

Orientation tools list all the page links, turn off anything that flickers or blinks, such as videos, CSS animations and animated GIFs, add large black and white cursors, support keyboard control and include an on-screen virtual keyboard. Text-to-speech reads selected text in more than 240 voices across 40+ languages through Google Cloud Platform, which may charge additional fees. An AI Accessibility Assistant helps identify accessibility issues against standards such as WCAG and ADA.
