Popup Maker – Remote Content

Remote Content is an extension for Popup Maker. It loads content that is not on the page already into a popup on demand. That content can come from another URL on your site or from another website.

Turn any link on your site into a popup that shows the link's content. Target internal or external links with one click, or specify which ones with your own CSS selectors. It works with iframe-based forms. Four methods are available. Load uses jQuery.load() to pull an entire page, or part of it by CSS selector. iFrame loads the full page. AJAX gives you full control over the data you pass and the content returned. Post Type Content turns links to a specific post type into an AJAX popup, with a customizable HTML template (experimental). Internal links work with any method, and external links work only with iFrame.

Example uses include opening blog posts in a popup from every read more link, loading a page from a navigation menu item, building one-page layouts, and showing the cart in a popup when the user clicks the cart icon. Several loading icons are included, and you can add custom ones.
